Results of 2017 Presidential Election:Ram Nath Kovind elected to be 14th President of India.

 

The NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind elected to be 14th President of India after defeating opposition Miera Kumar by securing 65.6% of votes.

Out of 4,109 MLA’s , 4,083 i.e 99.37 casted thier vote according to the officials.

The counting of votes held on thursday, 11.00 am where the only , second Dalit Kovind,gracefully won the election and elected to be the 14th President of India.


The second Dalit holds the top constitutional position will  sworn in the Central Hall of parliament on 25 July.

The BJP candidate Ram Nath Kovind won the election by getting 65.6% of votes by defeating the former Lok Sabha Speaker  Miera Kumar ,who got 34% of votes.
